The alarm went off
Followed by relentless work
I set the alarm
It wasn’t quite that bad, squeezed a terrific game in at the end of the day, but that would have spoilt the Haiku!

It’s Friday evening
The final-full stop is placed
Time for the weekend
It’s been a full and fruitful week but the weekend is definitely welcome.

It’s back to business
Whilst trying to hang onto

Coming to an end
A basketful of memories
Taking them beyond
Last day of Greenbelt before it takes a year off and relocates. We’re ‘letting it all go’ or maybe not.

One word at a time
A poem for every day
A habit is formed
Keeping the streak alive

Packing for Greenbelt
Stripping back to the basics
God and rain ready
Canvas is beckoning!

The perfect tonic
An evening spent with good friends
Making time stand still
A lovely evening.

One for each of you
Twelve stones for remembering
Promises still held
This morning at church we remembered the story of Elijah taking on the prophets of Baal. At the heart of the story, Elijah builds an altar of twelve stones, one for each of the tribes of Israel.

A complacent start
Then momentary panic
But calm minds prevail
Victory tonight in the modern classic boardgame!

The door won’t open?
Then switch the fittings around
It sounds so simple…
We got there in the end!
